The Notice Method is for those who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected — yet sense there's more to life than just getting by. Through mindfulness and somatic practices, you can reconnect with your inner self, find calm in your nervous system, and rediscover joy in the present moment.

THE METHOD


First, create safety and reconnect with your external world.

where you are — gently bring awareness to your current surroundings.

your senses awaken — what do you hear, see, feel, touch and taste?

the story of the mind and arrive back in the present moment — create safety within your nervous system.

Then, explore your inner world—mind, body, spirit—and listen to regulate.

your thoughts, feelings, actions, and sensations.

your emotions and their somatic communication, welcoming them and allowing their expression (maybe cry, scream, shake, clench your fists, etc).

03. r E l e a s e
any resistance and judgement by nurturing all parts with self-compassion.

The Notice Method is the foundational practice of this counselling and coaching work.

About the founder


Olivia Brown integrates the work of psychology + science, mindfulness and spirituality into her practice.

For much of my life, I felt unseen, unheard and misunderstood. That silence grew into a deep internal shame and fed the beliefs that I was somehow both too much and not enough. To survive, I turned to strategies that kept me safe but never truly connected, such as fawning, people pleasing, co-dependency, perfectionism and even isolation. While these protected me, they also kept me from the one thing I longed for most: genuine belonging.

Slowly, through therapy, journaling, meditation and learning about the nervous system, things began to shift. I started to see that my shame stories weren’t proof that something was inherently wrong with me — they were wounds that yearned to be witnessed, held, accepted and loved. Later, through practices like parts work and mindfulness, I discovered ways to meet the parts of myself I had hidden away with compassion instead of judgment. And you can, too.

Above all, my approach to counselling is client-centred and I am devoted to being your professional support, walking alongside you on your journey to wholeness.
